Library cards are free to Texas County, OK residents. We require proof of ID and proof of current address with your application. Library cards expire yearly.
Our collection includes almost 20,000 books, audiobooks, DVDs and other media.
Library materials are checked out for 28 days. Fines will we added to your account after a 3 day grace period. Fines are 5 cents a day late per item.
Reserves can be made by phone during regular hours or in person at the library.

For those under 18 years old – an adult in your family will also need to review your form and sign with you. We must have your current working phone number and correct mailing address. A parent or legal guardian will need to show their I.D. and a piece of mail that clearly shows their current mailing address.
You are still welcome to come in and read within the library during our open hours. You may pull a book from the shelf and read and stack them on a table after.
No card is required for you to use the internet. Simply ask at the front desk to be signed in to use the computer. Each user must be at least 10 years old or in 5th grade. Anyone misbehaving or viewing objectionable material may be asked to leave, at the discretion of the Librarian or staff on duty.
If you are carrying a water bottle to stay hydrated, we ask you keep a lid on it, and not have it near the computer area.

All media is checked out for 28 days at a time. If you need more time, ask for a Renewal.
Items must be returned. Please return materials in a timely manner so as to avoid legal action.
We have both an indoor and outdoor book drop on the premises for your convenience.
Free Wi-Fi signal. If you are using a phone, tablet or laptop we ask that you use earbuds or headphones so as to not disrupt others.
Use the Computer? Ask at the front desk and library staff will sign you up. Children must be 13 years of age and in the 7th Grade in order to sign up to use the computers and must know how to properly use them. Children younger will need a parent to assist them with research. Librarian has discretion to allow or disallow use.
We have public computers and internet, including free Wi-Fi for the public to use in and around the library. Computers require sign-in at the front desk. Printing is 50 cents per page.
Patrons also have access to a 3D printer and a Microfilm reader after signing a user agreement at the front desk.
Children under the age of 9 (nine) years of age may not be left unattended at the library. They must be accompanied by a responsible person 14 years of age or older who will watch them while here. Parents are expected to be supervising their young children while within the library. Children 9 and over may visit for limited sessions through the day. The library is not a daycare, nor your babysitter. Disruptive children or any who are sick will be asked to leave.
We often take pictures at library events to use in library publicity materials and on our website. If you do not want us to use a picture of you or your child, please let staff know.
If a child is in the library unattended, efforts will be made to contact parents or guardian. Library staff cannot provide transportation to take a child home or to transport a child to another location due to liability issues. Parents must pick up their children before closing time or they will be left at the police department.
To reserve a meeting room, ask the Librarian. You will need to inquire each time the room is needed. Meeting rooms are assigned on a first come, first serve basis.
No food, drink, or tobacco products allowed in the library.
No pets are allowed in the library except service animals.
